a self-haircut

This morning I worked in Ronin's room at church, so the Childcare Director picked Davis up for me and brought him to our room while we cleaned. She told me some FYI from the teacher, Davis had given himself a haircut with some safety scissors, just a little bit. I didn't really notice anything until he sat down for dinner, that's when I saw this:See that patch of white, that's where he cut his hair...to the scalp. I'm not quite sure how this is achieved with safety scissors, so I say "Kudos" to Davis.

  1. oh boy! I recall pictures from 1st grade when I chose to explore my giftings as a hair stylist. Let's just keep it simple and say, it is certainly not in my area of gifts. :)

  2. i love it. it seems every kid goes through the whole "i want to use these scissors-oh wait, what do i cut-oh wait, let's cut my hair" phase. it's better he goes through this stage now instead of when he's, say, 15 years old. ;)

  3. I agree! Props to Davis. He probably wanted hair like Gary and Tonyb. :) When I did this to myself...the multiple times I did it, I'd cut underneath a cluster of hair so no one knew...then a few weeks later, I'd have a spike growing out from under the cluster. haha.

  7. Oh no! Kids always do that, don't they? I don't know if I ever cut my own hair, but I did go to town on my sister's hair while my mom was out and my dad was supposed to be watching us kids. LOL!
